22Now fBezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, made everything that the Lord had commanded Moses. 23With him was gOholiab the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, an engraver and a skilled embroiderer, and a

29And the bronze of the wave offering was seventy talents and 2,400 shekels. 30With it he made the bases to the doorway of the tent of meeting, and the bronze altar and its bronze grating, and all the utensils of the altar, 31and the bases of the courtyard all around and the bases of the gate of the courtyard, and all the pegs of the

of the same material: of gold and of violet, purple, and scarlet material, and fine twisted linen, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

6 abThey also made the onyx stones, set in gold filigree settings; they were engraved like the engravings of a signet, according to the names of the sons of Israel. 7And ache placed them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod as memorial stones for the sons of Israel, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

8 And adhe made the breastpiece, the work of a skilled embroiderer, like the workmanship of the ephod: of gold and of violet, purple, and scarlet material and fine twisted linen. 9It was square; they made the breastpiece folded double, a

10And they

11and the second row, a turquoise, a sapphire, and a diamond; 12and the third row, a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst; 13and the fourth row, a beryl, an onyx, and a jasper. They were set in gold filigree settings when they were

14The stones corresponded to the names of the sons of Israel; they were twelve, corresponding to their names, engraved with the engravings of a signet, each with its name for the twelve tribes. 15And they made for the breastpiece chains like cords, work of twisted cords of pure gold. 16They made two gold filigree settings and two gold rings, and put the two rings on the two ends of the breastpiece. 17Then they put the two gold cords in the two rings at the ends of the breastpiece. 18And they put the other two ends of the two cords on the two filigree settings, and put them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod at the front of it. 19They made two gold rings and placed them on the two ends of the breastpiece, on its inner edge which was next to the ephod. 20Furthermore, they made two gold rings and placed them on the bottom of the two shoulder pieces of the ephod, on the front of it, close to the place where it joined, above the woven band of the ephod. 21And they bound the breastpiece by its rings to the rings of the ephod with a violet cord, so that it would be on the woven band of the ephod, and that the breastpiece would not come loose from the ephod, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

22 ajThen he made the robe of the ephod of woven work, all of violet; 23 akand the opening of the robe was at the top in the center, as the opening of a coat of mail, with a binding all around its opening, so that it would not be torn. 24And they made pomegranates of violet, purple, and scarlet material and twisted linen on the hem of the robe. 25They also made bells of pure gold, and put the bells between the pomegranates all around on the hem of the

alternating a bell and a pomegranate all around on the hem of the robe for the service, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

27 anThey also made the tunics of finely woven linen for Aaron and his sons, 28and the turban of fine linen, and the decorated

29and the sash of fine twisted linen, and violet, purple, and scarlet material, the work of the

30 aqThey also made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold, and

inscribed it like the engravings of a signet, “Holy to the Lord.”
31Then they

32 So all the work of the

33Then they brought the tabernacle to Moses, the tent and all its

Exodus 40

The Tabernacle Erected

1 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 2bgOn the first day of the first month you shall set up the

3 biYou shall place the ark of the testimony there, and you shall screen off the ark with the veil. 4Then you shall bjbring in the table and bkarrange

5You shall also boset the gold altar of incense in front of the ark of the testimony, and set up the curtain for the doorway to the tabernacle. 6And you shall set the altar of burnt offering in front of the doorway of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting. 7Then you shall bpset the basin between the tent of meeting and the altar, and put water

8You shall also set up the courtyard all around and

9Then you shall take the anointing oil and bsanoint the tabernacle and everything that is in it, and consecrate it and all its

furnishings; and it shall be holy.
10You shall also anoint the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils, and consecrate the altar, and buthe altar shall be most holy. 11And you shall anoint the basin and its stand, and consecrate it. 12Then you shall bvbring Aaron and his sons to the doorway of the tent of meeting and wash them with water. 13And bwyou shall put the holy garments on Aaron and anoint him and consecrate him, so that he may serve as a priest to Me. 14You shall also bring his sons and put tunics on them; 15and you shall anoint them just as you have anointed their father, so that they may serve as priests to Me; and their anointing will

16So Moses did these things; according to all that the Lord had commanded him, so he did.

21He then brought the ark into the tabernacle, and cjset up a veil for the covering, and screened off the ark of the testimony, just as the Lord had commanded Moses. 22He also ckput the table in the tent of meeting on the north side of the tabernacle, outside the veil. 23And he set the arrangement of clbread in order on it before the Lord, just as the Lord had commanded Moses. 24Then he placed the lampstand in the tent of meeting, opposite the table, on the south side of the tabernacle. 25And he cmlighted the lamps before the Lord, just as the Lord had commanded Moses. 26Then he cnplaced the gold altar in the tent of meeting in front of the veil; 27and he coburned fragrant incense on it, just as the Lord had commanded Moses. 28Then he set up the curtain for the doorway of the tabernacle. 29And he cpset the altar of burnt offering in front of the doorway of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting, and cqoffered on it the burnt offering and the meal offering, just as the Lord had commanded Moses. 30He placed the basin between the tent of meeting and the altar, and put water in it for washing. 31 crFrom it Moses and Aaron and his sons washed their hands and their feet. 32When they entered the tent of meeting, and when they approached the altar, they washed, just as the Lord had commanded Moses. 33And he cserected the courtyard all around the

tabernacle and the altar, and

The Glory of the Lord

34 cvThen the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the cwglory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. 35And Moses cxwas not able to enter the tent of meeting because the cloud had settled on it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. 36Throughout their journeys, cywhenever the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the sons of Israel would set out; 37but czif the cloud was not taken up, then they did not set out until the day when it was taken up. 38For throughout their journeys, dathe cloud of the Lord was on the tabernacle by day, and there was fire in it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel.
