1:2 up; (a-21) The word means 'receiving,' but with the prefix (ana) 'up,' as here, it has the active sense of 'taking up.' It is so translated except in 1Tim. 3.16. The more passive reception is seen in Acts 3.21, where another word is used.25:5 man, (a-20) Or 'if there be anything amiss in the man.' 25:10 knowest. (b-31) Or 'thou knowest better than that;' that is, than to say, 'wilt thou go up to Jerusalem and be judged?' 25:11 done (c-5) Lit. 'I do.'
