Ezekiel 3:7-9
7 aBut the house of Israel will not be willing to listen to you, for they are not willing to listen to me: because all the house of Israel bhave a hard forehead and a stubborn heart. 8 cBehold, I have made your face as hard as their faces, and your forehead as hard as their foreheads. 9Like demery harder than flint have I made your forehead. eFear them not, nor be dismayed at their looks, for they are a rebellious house.” Matthew 10:21-23
21 fBrother will deliver brother over to death, and the father his child, and children will rise against parents and have them put to death, 22 gand you will be hated by all for my name’s sake. hBut the one who endures to the end will be saved. 23When they ipersecute you in one town, jflee to the next, for truly, I say to you, you will not have gone through all the towns of Israel kbefore the Son of Man comes. 20And when they had brought them to the magistrates, they said, “These men are Jews, and they are disturbing our city. 21They radvocate customs that are not lawful for us sas Romans to accept or practice.” 22The crowd joined in attacking them, and the magistrates tore the garments off them and gave orders tto beat them with rods. Acts 17:6-8
6And when they could not find them, uthey dragged Jason and some of the brothers before the city authorities, shouting, “These men who have turned the world upside down have come here also, 7and Jason has received them, and they are all acting against vthe decrees of Caesar, saying that there is wanother king, Jesus.” 8And the people and the city authorities were disturbed when they heard these things.
