Matthew 10:32-33

Confess me; as his Saviour, and continue to obey me.

Him will I confess; acknowledge and treat as my friend. Men's treatment of Christ in this world will determine his treatment of them in the world to come.
Deny me; desert my cause.

I deny; deny to be my friend, and treat as my enemy.

Matthew 25:34-40

The kingdom; of endless, heavenly glory. When saw we thee; humility astonished at high honor put on poor services. Have done it unto me; expressive of the intimate and endearing union of Christ and his people. Jesus Christ considers himself to be treated by men as they treat his known disciples. And from the manner in which we treat them, we may learn the manner in which we treat him.
