His brethren, i.e., the musicians of his section, are enumerated in , - eight names being given, among which are a Shemaiah and a Judah. “With the musical instruments of David, the man of God:” comp. ; ; ; Ezr 3:10. “And Ezra the scribe before them,” viz., before the individuals enumerated from , immediately after the company of those who gave thanks, and before the princes, like Nehemiah, Neh 12:38.
