Because He loves His people with everlasting love, therefore has He kept them by His grace, so that they were not destroyed. משׁך, to draw, keep, restrain; hence משׁך חסד, prolongare gratiam , ; , but construed with ל of a person; here, with a double accusative, to restrain any one, to preserve him constantly by grace.
