On עבר בשׁלח, to precipitate one’s self into the weapon, i.e., to incur peremptory punishment, comp. Job 33:18. On בבלי דעת comp. ; Job 4:21. Impenitence changes affliction, which is intended to be a means of rescue, into total destruction; yet there are some who will not be warned and affrighted by it.
