2 Corinthians 6
Their Ministry Commended
1And aworking together with Him, bwe also urge you not to receive cthe grace of God in vain— 2for He says, d“At the acceptable time I listened to you,And on the day of salvation I helped you.”
Behold, now is “the acceptable time,” behold, now is “the day of salvation”—
3 egiving no cause for offense in anything, so that the ministry will not be discredited, 4but in everything fcommending ourselves as ▼
▼ Or ministers
,
hservants of God, iin much endurance, in afflictions, in hardships, in distresses, 5in jbeatings, in imprisonments, in ktumults, in labors, in sleeplessness, in lhunger, 6in purity, in mknowledge, in npatience, in kindness, in the oHoly Spirit, in pgenuine love, 7in qthe word of truth, in rthe power of God; by sthe weapons of righteousness for the right hand and the left, 8by glory and tdishonor, by uevil report and good report; regarded as vdeceivers and yet wtrue; 9as unknown ▼▼ Lit and
yet well-known, as ydying ▼▼ Lit and
yet behold, aawe live; as ▼▼ Or disciplined
punished ▼▼ Lit and
yet not put to death, 10as adsorrowful yet always aerejoicing, as afpoor yet making many rich, as aghaving nothing ▼▼ Lit and
yet possessing aiall things. 11 ajOur mouth ▼▼ Lit is open to you
has spoken freely to you, O Corinthians, our alheart is opened wide. 12You are not restrained ▼▼ Or in us
by us, but anyou are restrained in your own ▼▼ Lit inward parts
affections. 13Now in a like apexchange— I speak as to aqchildren— open wide to us also. 14 arDo not be ▼▼ Lit unequally yoked
bound together with atunbelievers; for what aupartnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness? 15Or what avharmony has Christ with ▼▼ Gr Beliar
Belial, or ▼▼ Lit what part has a believer with an unbeliever
what has a aybeliever in common with an azunbeliever? 16Or bawhat agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are bbthe temple of bcthe living God; just as God said, bd“I will be dwell in them and bf walk among them; And I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
17 bg“Therefore, bh come out from their midst and be separate,” says the Lord.
“And do not touch what is unclean;
And I will welcome you.
18 bi“And I will be a father to you,
And you shall be bjsons and daughters to Me,”
Says the Lord Almighty.
