Prayer for the Lord’s Blessing upon the Sanctuary.
A Song of Ascents.
1 Remember, O Lord, on David’s behalf,All ahis affliction;
2How he swore to the Lord
And vowed to bthe Mighty One of Jacob,
3“Surely I will not ▼
▼ Lit come into the tabernacle of

▼ Lit go up into the couch of
lie on my bed;4I will not fgive sleep to my eyes
Or slumber to my eyelids,
5Until I find a gplace for the Lord,

▼ Lit Dwelling places
A dwelling place for ithe Mighty One of Jacob.”6Behold, we heard of it in jEphrathah,
We found it in the kfield of ▼

Jaar.7Let us go into His ▼
▼ Lit dwelling places

ndwelling place;Let us oworship at His pfootstool.
8 qArise, O Lord, to Your rresting place,
You and the ark of Your sstrength.
9Let Your priests be tclothed with righteousness,
And let Your ugodly ones sing for joy.
10For the sake of David Your servant,
Do not turn away the face of Your vanointed.
11The Lord has wsworn to David
A truth from which He will not turn back:
x“Of the fruit of your body I will set upon your throne.
12“If your sons will keep My covenant
And My testimony which I will teach them,
Their sons also shall ysit upon your throne forever.”
13For the Lord has zchosen Zion;
He has aadesired it for His habitation.
14“This is My abresting place forever;
Here I will acdwell, for I have desired it.
15“I will abundantly adbless her provision;
I will aesatisfy her needy with bread.
16“Her afpriests also I will clothe with salvation,
And her aggodly ones will sing aloud for joy.
17“There I will cause the ahhorn of David to spring forth;
I have prepared a ailamp for Mine anointed.
18“His enemies I will ajclothe with shame,
But upon himself his akcrown shall shine.”
