The Reign of the Lord’s Anointed.
1Why are athe ▼▼ Or Gentiles
nations in an uproarAnd the peoples cdevising a vain thing?
2The dkings of the earth take their stand
And the rulers take counsel together
eAgainst the Lord and against His ▼
▼ Or Messiah
,
gAnointed, saying,3“Let us htear their fetters apart
And cast away their cords from us!”
4He who ▼
▼ Or is enthroned
sits in the heavens jlaughs,The Lord kscoffs at them.
5Then He will speak to them in His langer
And mterrify them in His fury, saying,
6“But as for Me, I have ▼
▼ Or consecrated
installed oMy KingUpon Zion, pMy holy mountain.”
7“I will surely tell of the ▼
▼ Or decree: The Lord said to Me
decree of the Lord:He said to Me, ‘You are rMy Son,
Today I have begotten You.
8‘Ask of Me, and sI will surely give tthe ▼
▼ Or Gentiles
nations as Your inheritance,And the very vends of the earth as Your possession.
9‘You shall ▼

rod of iron,You shall zshatter them like ▼

earthenware.’”10Now therefore, O kings, abshow discernment;
Take warning, O ▼

Worship the Lord with ▼▼ Or fear
,
afreverenceAnd rejoice with agtrembling.

Do homage to aithe Son, that He not become angry, and you perish in the way,For ajHis wrath may ▼

soon be kindled.How blessed are all who altake refuge in Him!
