Psalms 26
Protestation of Integrity and Prayer for Protection.
A Psalm of David.
1 ▼▼ Lit Judge
,
bVindicate me, O Lord, for I have cwalked in my integrity,And I have dtrusted in the Lord ▼
▼ Lit I do not slide
,
fwithout wavering.2 gExamine me, O Lord, and try me;
hTest my ▼
▼ Lit kidneys, figurative for inner man
mind and my heart.3For Your jlovingkindness is before my eyes,
And I have kwalked in Your ▼
▼ Or faithfulness
truth.4I do not msit with ▼
▼ Or worthless men; lit men of falsehood
deceitful men,Nor will I go with ▼
▼ Or dissemblers, hypocrites
,
ppretenders.5I qhate the assembly of evildoers,
And I will not sit with the wicked.
6I shall rwash my hands in innocence,
And I will go about sYour altar, O Lord,
7That I may proclaim with the voice of tthanksgiving
And declare all Your ▼
▼ Or miracles
wonders.8O Lord, I vlove the habitation of Your house
And the place ▼
▼ Lit of the tabernacle of Your glory
where Your xglory dwells.9 yDo not ▼
▼ Lit gather
take my soul away along with sinners,Nor my life with aamen of bloodshed,
10In whose hands is a abwicked scheme,
And whose right hand is full of acbribes.
11But as for me, I shall adwalk in my integrity;
aeRedeem me, and be gracious to me.
12 afMy foot stands on a aglevel place;
In the ahcongregations I shall bless the Lord.
