‏ Psalms 46

God the Refuge of His People.

For the choir director. A Psalm of the sons of Korah,
Possibly for soprano voices
set to Alamoth. A Song.

1 God is our brefuge and strength,
Or Abundantly available for help
A very dpresent help ein
Or tight places
trouble.
2Therefore we will gnot fear, though hthe earth should change
And though ithe mountains slip into the heart of the
Lit seas
sea;
3Though its kwaters roar and foam,
Though the mountains quake at its swelling pride.
Selah may mean: Pause, Crescendo or Musical interlude
Selah.

4There is a mriver whose streams make glad the ncity of God,
The holy odwelling places of the Most High.
5God is pin the midst of her, she will not be moved;
God will qhelp her
Lit at the turning of the morning
when morning dawns.
6The
Or Gentiles
nations tmade an uproar, the kingdoms tottered;
He
Lit gave forth
,
vraised His voice, the earth wmelted.
7The Lord of hosts xis with us;
The God of Jacob is your stronghold. Selah.

8Come, zbehold the works of the Lord,
Or Which He has wrought as desolations
Who has wrought abdesolations in the earth.
9He acmakes wars to cease to the end of the earth;
He adbreaks the bow and cuts the spear in two;
He aeburns the chariots with fire.

Or Let go, relax
Cease striving and agknow that I am God;
I will be ahexalted among the
Or Gentiles
nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
11The Lord of hosts is with us;
The God of Jacob is our stronghold. Selah.
