‏ Revelation of John 5

The Book with Seven Seals

1I saw
Lit upon
in the right hand of Him who bsat on the throne a
Or scroll
,
dbook written inside and on the back, esealed up with seven seals.
2And I saw a fstrong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the
Or scroll
book and to break its seals?”
3And no one hin heaven or on the earth or under the earth was able to open the
Or scroll
book or to look into it.
4Then I began to weep greatly because no one was found worthy to open the
Or scroll
book or to look into it;
5and one of the elders said to me, “Stop weeping; behold, the kLion that is lfrom the tribe of Judah, the mRoot of David, has overcome so as to open the
Or scroll
book and its seven seals.”

6And I saw
Lit in the middle of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the middle of the elders
between the throne (with the four living creatures) and pthe elders a qLamb standing, as if rslain, having seven shorns and tseven eyes, which are uthe seven Spirits of God, sent out into all the earth.
7And He came and took vthe book out of the right hand of Him who wsat on the throne. 8When He had taken the
Or scroll
book, the yfour living creatures and the ztwenty-four elders aafell down before the abLamb, each one holding a acharp and adgolden bowls full of incense, which are the aeprayers of the
Or holy ones
saints.
9And they sang a agnew song, saying, ahWorthy are You to take the
Or scroll
book and to break its seals; for You were ajslain, and akpurchased for God with Your blood men from alevery tribe and tongue and people and nation.
10You have made them to be a amkingdom and anpriests to our God; and they will aoreign upon the earth.”

Angels Exalt the Lamb

11Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels aparound the throne and the aqliving creatures and the arelders; and the number of them was asmyriads of myriads, and thousands of thousands, 12saying with a loud voice, atWorthy is the auLamb that was avslain to receive power and riches and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing.” 13And awevery created thing which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all things in them, I heard saying, “To Him who axsits on the throne, and to the ayLamb, az be blessing and honor and glory and dominion forever and ever.” 14And the bafour living creatures kept saying, bbAmen.” And the bcelders bdfell down and worshiped.
