1 Listen, cShepherd of Israel,
Who leads dJoseph like a flock;
You who eare enthroned above the cherubim, shine forth!

2 Before fEphraim, Benjamin, and Manasseh, gawaken Your power,
And come to save us!

3 God, hrestore us
And imake Your face shine upon us,
Or that we may
and we will be saved.

4 k Lord God of armies,
lHow long will You
Lit smoke against
be angry with the prayer of Your people?

5 You have fed them with the nbread of tears,
And You have made them drink tears in
Lit a third part of a
large measure.

6 You make us
Lit strife to
an object of contention qto our neighbors,
And our enemies laugh among themselves.

7 God of armies, restore us
And make Your face shine upon us,
Or that we may
and we will be saved.

8 You removed a svine from Egypt;
You tdrove out the
Or Gentiles
nations and vplanted it.

9 You wcleared the ground before it,
And it xtook deep root and filled the land.

10 The mountains were covered with its shadow,
And
Or its boughs are like the cedars of God
the cedars of God with its zbranches.

11 It was sending out its branches aato the sea
And its shoots to the Euphrates River.

12 Why have You abbroken down its
Or walls, fences
hedges,
So that all who pass that way pick its fruit?

13 A boar from the forest adeats it away,
And whatever moves in the field feeds on it.

14 God of armies, do aeturn back;
afLook down from heaven and see, and take care of this vine,

15 The
Or root
ahshoot which Your right hand has planted,
And of the
Or figuratively: branch
son whom You have
Or secured
strengthened for Yourself.

16 It is akburned with fire, it is cut down;
They perish from the alrebuke of Your face.

17 Let amYour hand be upon the man of Your right hand,
Upon the son of man whom You anmade strong for Yourself.

18 Then we will not aoturn back from You;
apRevive us, and we will call upon Your name.

19 Lord God of armies, aqrestore us;
Make Your face shine upon us,
Or that we may
and we will be saved.
