Hope in the Lord’s Forgiving Love.

A Song of Ascents.

1 Out of the ^adepths I have cried to You, Lord.
2 Lord, ^bhear my voice!
Let ^cYour ears be attentive
To the ^dsound of my pleadings.
3 If You, ^{▼▼Heb Yah}Lord, were to keep account of guilty deeds,
Lord, who could ^fstand?
4 But there is ^gforgiveness with You,
So that You may be ^{▼▼Or feared} ⁱrevered.

5 I wait for the Lord, my ^jsoul waits,
And I ^{▼▼Or hope in}wait ^lfor His word.
6 My soul waits in hope for the Lord
More than the watchmen ^mfor the morning;
Yes, more than the watchmen for the morning.
7 Israel, ⁿwait for the Lord;
For with the Lord there is ^omercy,
And with Him is ^pabundant redemption.
8 And He will ^qredeem Israel
From all his guilty deeds.
