It consists of several peaks, the principal of which are Horeb and Sinai; the former, still called Oreb, being on the west, and the latter, called Tur Sina, on the east, at the foot of which is the convent of St. Catherine. Dr. Shaw conceives that the wilderness of Sinai, properly so called, is that part which is to the eastward of this mount; so that the removal of the Israelites from Rephidim, which was on the West, to the desert of Sinai, was only removing from one part of the mountain to another. camped.3:1,12; 18:5; Ac 7:30,38; Ga 4:24 went up.20:21; 24:15-18; 34:2; De 5:5-31; Ac 7:38called.3:4 seen.7:1-14:31; De 4:9,33-36; 29:2; Isa 63:9I bare you.De 32:11,12; Isa 40:31; 63:9; Re 12:14 if ye.23:22; 24:7; De 11:27; 28:1; Jos 24:24; 1Sa 15:22; Isa 1:19Jer 7:23; 11:4-7; Heb 11:8keep.De 5:2; Ps 25:10; 103:17,18; Isa 56:4; Jer 31:31-33a peculiar.De 4:20; 7:6; 14:2,21; 26:18; 32:8,9; 1Ki 8:53; Ps 135:4; So 8:12Isa 41:8; 43:1; Jer 10:16; Mal 3:17; Tit 2:14all the earth.9:29; De 10:14; Job 41:11; Ps 24:1; 50:11; Da 4:34,35; 1Co 10:26,28 a kingdom.De 33:2-4; Isa 61:6; Ro 12:1; 1Pe 2:5,9; Re 1:6; 5:10; 20:6and an.Le 11:44,45; 19:2; 20:24,26; 21:7,8,23; De 7:6; 26:19; 28:9Isa 62:12; 1Co 3:17; 1Th 5:27; 1Pe 1:15,16 the elders.3:16and laid.4:29,30; 1Co 15:1 20:19; 24:3,7; De 5:27-29; 26:17-19; Jos 24:24; Ne 10:29 Lo.16; 20:21; 24:15,16; De 4:11; 1Ki 8:12; 2Ch 6:1; Ps 18:11,12Ps 97:2; Isa 19:1; Mt 17:5; Mr 9:7; Lu 9:34,35; Re 1:7that the.De 4:12,36; Joh 12:29,30believe.14:31; 2Ch 20:20; Isa 7:9; Lu 10:16 sanctify.15; Le 11:44,45; Jos 3:5; 7:13; 1Sa 16:5; 2Ch 29:5,34; 30:17-19Job 1:5; 1Co 6:11wash.14; Ge 35:2; Le 11:25; 15:5; Nu 8:7,21; 31:24; Zec 3:3,4Heb 10:22; Re 7:14 the Lord.16,18,20; 3:8; 34:5; Nu 11:17; De 33:2; Ps 18:9; 144:5; Isa 64:1,2Hab 3:3-6; Joh 3:13; 6:38 set bounds.21,23; Jos 3:4Take.10:28; 34:12; De 2:4; 4:9or touch.Heb 12:20,21 whether.21:28,29; Le 20:15,16when the trumpet. or, cornet.16,19; 1Co 15:52; 1Th 4:16 and sanctified.10 Be ready.Am 4:12; Mal 3:2; Mt 3:10-12; 24:44; 2Pe 3:11,12the third.11,16come not.1Sa 21:4,5; Joe 2:16; Zec 6:3; 7:3; 12:12-14; 1Co 7:5 thunders.9:23,28,29; 20:18; 1Sa 12:17,18; Job 37:1-5; 38:25; Ps 18:11-14Ps 29:3-11; 50:3; 77:18; 97:4; Heb 12:18,19; Re 4:5; 8:5; 11:19thick.9; 40:34; 2Ch 5:14voice.Re 1:10; 4:1all the people.Jer 5:22; Heb 12:21 De 4:10; 5:5 mount Sinai.20:18; De 4:11,12; 5:22; 33:2; Jud 5:5; Ps 68:7,8; 104:32; 144:5See on ver.13; Isa 6:4; Re 15:8in fire.3:2; 24:17; 2Ch 7:1-3; 2Th 1:8; 2Pe 3:10as the smoke.Ge 15:17; 19:28; Ps 144:5; Re 15:8whole.1Ki 19:11,12; Ps 68:8; 77:18; 114:7; Jer 4:24; Na 1:5,6; Zec 14:5Mt 24:7; Heb 12:26 And when.13,16Moses.Heb 12:21God.Ps 81:7 the Lord came.11; Ne 9:13; Ps 81:7Moses went up.3; 24:12,13,18; 34:2,4; De 9:9 charge.
