Mark 13
1And as He was going out of the temple, one of his disciples saith to Him, Master, behold what fine stones are here, and what stately buildings! 2And Jesus answering said unto him, Thou seest these grand buildings: but there shall not be left one stone upon another, which shall not be thrown down. 3And as He was sitting on the mount of Olives over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked Him privately, 4saying, Tell us when these things shall be, and what shall be the sign when all these things are to be accomplished. 5But Jesus answered them and said, Beware least any one deceive you: 6for many shall come in my name saying, I am the Christ, and shall deceive many. 7And when ye hear of wars, and rumors of wars, be not troubled; for such things must happen; but the end will not be yet. 8For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and famines and troubles: these will be the beginnings of sorrows. 9But look to yourselves; for they will deliver you up to councils, and synagogues: and ye shall be scourged, and set before governors and kings on my account, for a testimony against them. 10And the gospel must first be published to all nations. 11But when they shall lead you to deliver you up, be not anxiously careful beforehand what ye shall speak, neither premeditate: but whatever shall be suggested to you at that very time, this speak: for it is not you that speak, but the holy Spirit. 12One brother shall betray another to death, and the father the son: and children shall appear against their parents, and cause them to be put to death. 13And ye shall be hated by all men for my sake: but he that endures to the end shall be saved. 14Now when ye shall see the desolating abomination, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, set up where it ought not to be, (let him that readeth, attend) then let those in Judea flee to the mountains: 15and let not him that is at the top of the house come down into the house, nor go in to fetch any thing out of his house: 16nor let him that is in the field return back for his clothes. 17But wo to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days. 18But pray that your flight may not be in the winter; 19for in those days shall be such affliction as never was from the beginning of the world, unto this day, nor ever shall be. 20And if the Lord did not shorten those days, none could escape: but for the sake of the elect, whom He hath chosen, He hath shortened those days. 21And then if any shall say to you, Behold, here is the Christ, or, Behold, He is there, believe it not: 22for there shall rise up false Christs, and false prophets, who shall work signs and wonders, to seduce, if possible, even the elect. 23But do ye beware: behold, I have told you all before. 24But in those days, after that affliction, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give it's light; and the stars of heaven shall fall, 25and the powers in the heavens shall be shaken; 26and then shall they see the Son of man coming in clouds, with great power and glory. 27And He will then send forth his messengers, and will gather his elect together from the four winds, from the end of the earth to the end of heaven. 28Now learn a parable from the fig-tree: when it's branch is tender and bringeth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh; 29so ye also, when ye see these things come to pass, know that He is near, even at the doors. 30Verily I tell you, that this generation shall not pass away until all these things be fulfilled. 31Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words cannot pass away. 32But of THAT day and hour knoweth no one, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only. 33Take heed therefore, watch and pray; for ye know not when the time is: 34as a man travelling abroad, who left his house, and gave charge to his servants, to each his work, and bid the porter be watchful. 35Watch ye therefore; for ye know not when the master of the house cometh: (in the evening, or at midnight, or at the cock-crowing, or in the morning:) 36least coming on a sudden he should find you sleeping. 37And what I say to you, I say to all, Watch.
